French Consulate General visits refugees

In order to familiarize themselves with the refugee situation in the camps, the Consulate General of the state of France visited the refugees in the Kawargosk camp on Tuesday, 6 February 2018. The group then visited one of the projects in cooperation with the Public Aid Organization in the camp to learn about its activities.

Mr. Dominique Mas, Consul-general of the state of France, pledged to continue to support refugees in all respects and expressed his hope that all refugees can return to  their original areas as soon as possible after they have become refugees in Kurdistan region because of the war and the problems that have occurred there.

There are currently more than 173,000 people living in the Kawargosk camp in the Kurdistan region, which has been able to provide good assistance in cooperation with other countries until these refugees return to their own.
